And it's okay to mourn... like someone told me I should rejoice... but how can I rejoice after God spoke to me about America and the danger that's coming...?? I know God has called me to weep and wail for America but I don't know how long... and so I'm left like this "how long O Lord?? When will they realize the sin in their life is making many cry out, but even more than many crying out it's hurting the very Heart of God... how much longer??" I know that Christ suffered on earth and is now seated in glory, but I don't see anywhere in the Bible that the triune God or any one of the Persons of the trinity are suffering now. What I do see in the Bible is that Christ suffered "once for all" (Hebrews). Of course, the (past) "passion" of Christ does not mean that God has since lost the attribute of compassion - which, of course, is eternal. I think we are typically so broken and distant from God we are longing for even the smallest touch of joy or love in our lives, and the thought of seeking to mourn with Him is absurd to our intellect. And I agree we don't even have the capacity to mourn with him until we have fallen in love with God through intimacy. And even then will we have the heart for God to go the next step and say I will sit with you and share your feelings, Jesus, even if you are weeping and mourning over your children.
